Joel Barriga is a third generation distiller, who produces his mezcal in copper pot stills on a remote oasis atop a high arid plateau in The Sierra Sur. Don Joel takes a slightly deeper distillation cut, producing a rich profile and one of the brightest, fruit-forward mezcals in Vago’s lineup. His Espadin is best served neat in a copita.
