For The Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch No.2, David hand-selects an assemblage of vintage casks from the distillery’s precious aged whisky stocks and fills them to Tun 1509, housed in Warehouse 24. Three months later emerges this exceptionally complex and rare single-malt Scotch whisky. This is a rare interpretation of the marrying process, with each batch limited by the 8000L capacity of the tun itself, allowing these fine casks to come together to create a singular expression; a Balvenie greater than the sum of its constituent parts.
