A super-premium rum of exceptional quality. Complex, yet velvety-smooth with a pronounced bouquet and flavour. Matusalem Gran Reserva offers a unique blend of hand-crafted rums in a 15 years “Solera” system that marries selected french oak cask with mature spirits to create a rum superior quality, distinctive flavor and unsurpassed smoothness. Founded in 1872, MATUSALEM? Rum has been known as the rebel of rums that was forced out of Cuba by Castro. In this spirit it was the first, and one of the very few still today, to use the Solera aging and blending principles ? a technique originally developed for the production of sherry and brandy.
