High on the mountain air of Colorado, Breckenridge Distillery sits at 9600ft above sea level and was founded in 2007 - fast becoming a winning champion among American bourbon craftsmen. Breckenridge bourbon is a blend of 56% yellow corn, 38% green rye, and 6% un-malted barley and aged in American white oak barrels for 2-3 years. This ongoing release has a cask strength of 86 proof and boasts a combination of fresh snowmelt water and minerals unique to the Colorado Rock Mountains. On the nose, hues of cinnamon and rye spice melt into peppered oak and vanilla bean essence. The palate is a blush of more rye and cinnamon along with layers of toasted oak, wild honey, and pepper.
